Morel harvest
We harvested our morels on Sunday. It's been a slow year for them because of the chillier than usual temps this month of May! Still, we got 21 mushrooms, and most of them were a nice size. When it was warm, they grew! They made a delicious side dish to our dinner (asparagus quiche) and we're already looking forward with relish to next year's morel season!

LOL, so you wait all year long for one harvest of morels which lasts for one side dish? Wow - those must be some mushrooms. I've never actually tried them myself (specifically, I mean - they may have been in something I've gotten somewhere) but now you've piqued my interest. Too bad I'm pretty much the only one here who likes mushrooms.
LOL, pretty much! Some people go out in the woods and look for them, so they get many more mushrooms than we do (dh knows someone who picked 400 of them this year!)
