She wants change

I suppose people have the right to be individuals, but some days I wish I had a dd more like me! I'm basically a contented kind of person. Routine is just fine with me. Being at home and having time to do the things I need/want to do is just fine with me. (Well ok, I have time to do the things I need to do, but being a mom, my wants are usually swallowed up by the needs of my family.) But the Lord blessed me with a daughter who is different from me. A daughter for whom contentment is not as easily attained. Now to figure out how to balance her wants with the needs of the rest of the family.

Ch-ch-changes... sorry, couldn't resist.

I'm sorry you guys are having some "growing pains", but this is a great opportunity for everyone in learning how to respectfully accomodate the needs of others, right? Now you've got me curious what changes she's after!

I find that I need to shake things up a bit from time to time to keep myself happy. When I was younger I would completely rearrange my bedroom every few months (I do this to a lesser extent as an adult). I also have to stop myself from completely overhauling our hs methods every spring. I get bored, and it's my special challenge to find ways to combat that without causing everyone else too much upheaval.

Good luck!
