This Is the Day the Lord Hath Made

This Is the Day the Lord Hath Made
Text written in 1719 by Isaac Watts (1674-1748)
Sung to TWENTY FOURTH, attributed to Lucius Chapin (1760-1842)

Psalm 118:24 The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.

V. 1 This is the day the Lord hath made;
He calls the hours His own.
Let heav'n rejoice, let earth be glad,
And praise surround the throne.
