I know how bad I've been; my sins are staring me down.  You're the One I've violated, and you've seen it all, seen the full extent of my evil. You have all the facts before you; whatever you decide about me is fair. I've been out of step with you for a long time, in the wrong since before I was born. What you're after is truth from the inside out. Enter me, then; conceive a new, true life.  Soak me in your laundry and I'll come out clean, scrub me and I'll have a snow-white life. Tune me in to foot-tapping songs, set these once-broken bones to dancing. Don't look too close for blemishes, give me a clean bill of health. God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life. Don't throw me out with the trash, or fail to breathe holiness in me. Bring me back from gray exile, put a fresh wind in my sails! Give me a job teaching rebels your ways so the lost can find their way home. Psalm 42:1-5 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.  My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?  My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, “Where is your God?”  These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng. Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Romans 5:20 The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more.

V. 1 Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,
Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!
Yonder on Calvary's mount outpoured--
There where the blood of the Lamb was spilt.

Refrain: Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin!

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

V. 2 Sin and despair, like the sea-waves cold,
Threaten the soul with infinite loss;
Grace that is greater--yes, grace untold--
Points to the Refuge, the mighty Cross.

Psalm 42:2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

1 Corinthians 6:20 You were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

V. 1 Jesus, priceless treasure,
Source of purest pleasure,
Truest Friend to me:
Ah! how long I've panted,
And my heart has fainted,
Thirsting, Lord, for Thee.
Thine I am, O spotless Lamb,
I will suffer naught to hide Thee, 
Nought I ask beside Thee.
