Bible Verse of the Day

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” (Hebrews 1:3)  listen to chapter  (Read by Max McLean. Provided by The Listener's Audio Bible.)

All People That on Earth Do Dwell

All People That on Earth Do Dwell
Text written by William Kethe ( ? - c. 1593)
Sung to OLD HUNDREDTH, composed in 1551 by Louis Bourgeois (c. 1510-1561)

Psalm 100:1-5 A Thanksgiving Psalm
On your feet now—applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter, sing yourselves into his presence. Know this: God is God, and God, God. He made us; we didn't make him. We're his people, his well-tended sheep.  Enter with the password: "Thank you!" Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank him. Worship him.  For God is sheer beauty, all-generous in love, loyal always and ever.

V. 1 All people that on earth do dwell,
Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice;
Him serve with mirth, His praise forth tell,
Come ye before Him and rejoice.

V. 2 Know that the Lord is God indeed;
Without our aid He did us make;
We are His folk, He doth us feed,
And for His sheep He doth us take.

V. 3 O enter then His gates with praise,
Approach with joy His courts unto;
Praise, laud, and bless His name always,
For it is seemly so to do.

V. 4 For why the Lord our God is good,
His mercy is forever sure;
His truth at all times firmly stood,
And shall from age to age endure.
