Bible Verse of the Day

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)  listen to chapter  (Read by Max McLean. God Moves in a Mysterious Way

God Moves in a Mysterious Way
Text written by William Cowper (1731-1800)
Sung to DUNDEE C.M., from "Scottish Psalter, 1615"

Psalm 77:19 Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.

Nahum 1:3 The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet.

V. 1 God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;
He plants His footsteps in the sea,
And rides upon the storm.

Ezekiel 34:26 I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.

V. 2 Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy, and shall break
In blessings on your head.

V. 3 Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust Him for His grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.

V. 4 His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.

Proverbs 15:19 The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns,
but the path of the upright is a highway.

V. 5 Blind unbelief is sure to err,
And scan His work in vain;
God is His own interpreter,
And He will make it plain.
